Obituary of Kenneth Edward Barnes
Kenneth E. Barnes, 85, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital following a brief illness on Tuesday, July 24, 2007. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Alfred E. and Annie Barnes. Ken was a salesman with the T. Eaton Co. and retired with forty-five plus years service. He was a member of St. Philip's Anglican Church, Lynch St. Moncton. A veteran of W.W.II, Ken served overseas with the Royal Canadian Army Signals Corp. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch # 6, a member of Acadia Lodge # 49 F & AM and a member of the Quarter of Century Club T. Eaton Co.
A loving husband for sixty years, a caring father, grandfather and brother, he will be sadly missed by his daughter Carol Morash (Terry) of Dartmouth; son Brian Barnes (Patricia) of Colpitts Settlement; three grandchildren Christopher Morash (Gloria), Sonya Barnes and Lauren Barnes; two sisters Helen and Annie of Fredericton; two brothers Cecil (Donna) of Cambridge Narrows and Ern (Rose) of Calgary; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Muriel Barnes in March 2006; also by a brother Charles.
At Ken's request no viewing at the Riverview Funeral Home, cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held at St. Philip's Anglican Church on Monday, July 30, 2007 at 11:00am with Ven. Archdeacon Reginald Stockall officiating.
Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.

Foundation or to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family.
