Obituary of Walter Joseph Bourque
Walter J. Bourque, of Moncton, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday September 27, 2006 at the age of 85 years.
Born in Moncton, NB on December 3, 1920 he was the son of the late William and Mae (Beals) Bourque. He was a member of St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church and a member of The Holy Name Society. He retired from Westinghouse after 35 years working in shipping and receiving. Some of his many interests included fishing, woodworking, model building, and drawing, he was also well known in the city for being an avid baseball player with The Moncton Main Brace Team.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle he will be sadly missed by his wife Helen (McIsaac) Bourque; daughters Brenda and her husband Robert Day of Riverview, Donna Bourque of Moncton, and Judy Hudson of Bedford, NS; son Gary and his wife Catherine of Hampton; brother Leonard Burke of Moncton; nine grandchildren; one great grand daughter; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Theresa Mann and Irene Hortie; also brothers George, Edgar, and William.
Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Thursday September 28, 2006 from 200pm - 4:00pm & 7:00pm - 9:00pm, and Friday September 29, 2006 from 1:30pm until 2:15pm. Parish prayers and sharing of memories will be held at the funeral home thursday evening at 8:30pm.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church on Friday September 29, 2006 at 2:30 pm with Father Phil Mulligan officiating.
Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery.
In Walter's memory, donations may be made to the memorial of the donors choice.
