Obituary of Marjorie Ogilvie

Marjorie Ogilvie, of Pleasantview Dr, and formerly of Dominion St. Moncton, NB passed away at her residence on Wednesday October 11, 2006 at the age of 98 years. Born in Moncton, NB on April 22, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Archibald "Archie" and Florence (Lutes) Bishop. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Church and a member of The Pearl Rebekah Lodge, Moncton. In past years Marjorie and her husband enjoyed travelling throughout Canada and the USA, they also enjoyed time spent at their family cottage in Pointe du Chene. A loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by her daughter Lillian R. Leger of Moncton; sister Florence Brace of Avon Park FL; grandchildren Vicki Kurkowsky of Moncton, and Gary (Pamela) MacDonald of Pointe du Chene; great grandchildren Tara MacDonald of Grand Barachois, and Chris (Angie) Nelson of Pointe du Chene; great great grandchildren Robbie, Bryan, and Shayne. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband of 72 years Arthur Ogilvie in 2000; son in law Gerry Leger in 2001; brothers Gerald and George; step mother Lillian Bishop; step brothers Calvin and Dodie. A graveside service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery on Friday October 13, 2006 at 10:00 am with Rev. Dr. Philip G. A. Griffin-Allwood officiating. Donations may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice. The family wish to express a sincere thank you to Susan Collier who has cared for Marjorie over past years, and to her former care givers Margaret, Elizabeth, Angie and Audrey; also to the extra mural nurses.
