Obituary of Laurie Joseph Meunier
Laurie Joseph Meunier, of Moncton, NB passed away with his family by his side at his residence on Friday, April 27, 2007 at the age of 78 years.
Born in Moncton, NB on September 30, 1928 he was the son of the late Jean Baptiste "John" and Marie Anne "Anna" (LeBlanc) Meunier. He was a member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church. Laurie was a retired employee of The City of Moncton working with The Board of Works. He enjoyed Fishing, Camping, Bowling, and above all his family was most important.
He will be sadly missed by his daughters Margaret Knott (Andrew Comeau), Kathy Deroches, and Helen Dixson (Tom) all of Moncton, and Barbara (Ian) LeBlanc of Miramichi; sons Terry (Sherry) Meunier, and David (Wendy) Meunier both of Moncton; brothers Lionel (Pauline) Meunier of Moncton, and Charlie Meunier of BC; grandchildren Heather, Vanessa (Phil), Troy, Trina, Ryan, Samantha, and Sarah; six great grandchildren; also by several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Eva (MacKay) Meunier in 1983; sisters Florence and Dorella also by brothers Alex and John.
Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm.
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 2:00 pm with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
There will be a reception to follow. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
In Laurie's memory, donations may be made to the memorial of the donors choice.
