Obituary of Peter J. Wallace Sr.

Peter J. Wallace Sr., of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at the age of 87 years. Born in Cove Dell, NB he was the son of the Late Dr. Peter J. & Margaret (McDonald) Wallace. Peter was employed with the Canadian National Railways, he retired from Corrections Canada (Dorchester Pentitentary). He was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, and a 3rd. degree member of the Knights of Columbus St. Augustine's Council #7940. He was also a member of the Beaver Curling Club, the Centennial Lawn Bowling, the F.S.N.A. (Superanuates), as well as Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6 Moncton. Peter also serves with the R.C.A.F. during W.W.II. He is survived by three sons; Peter Jr. of Point du Chene, Colin (Jacinta) of Moncton and Steven (Elizabeth) of Douglastown, NB; four grandchildren: Ashley, Lindsay, Emily and Katlin; sister: Rena Young RN. (Frank) of Moncton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (Johnston) April 10, 2009; also by his daughter Redma Ann Wallace in 1970. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home 171 Lutz St. on Thursday October 1, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00pm & 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Friday October 2, 2009 at 9:30am with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations made to The Alzheimers Society of South East NB would be appreciated.
