Obituary of William J. O'Shea
William J. O'Shea, 88, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, October 28, 2009. Born in Newcastle, NB; he was the son of the late Burton and Adelia (Young) O'Shea. William was a Machinist with the CNR until his retirement. He was a faithful member of St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church in Moncton. He enjoyed working on cars and doing home repairs. He was a veteran of WW II having served with the RCAF from March 21, 1942 to September 29, 1945.
He will be sadly missed by his children Katherine (Kenneth) Woodard of Moncton and James O'Shea of Campbellton, NB; step grandson Christopher; one sister Helen (Vernon) Brooks of Moncton; four brothers Gerald of Boom Road, James (Doreen), Norman (Mary) and Mike (Betty) all of the Miramichi; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Rosalie Mary O'Shea in 2007 and by a brother Frederick.
Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton with visitation on Thursday, October 29, 2009 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm.
The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford St. Moncton on Friday, October 30, 2009 at 9:30 am with Father Allison Carroll officiating.
Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
