Obituary of Jean M. Mayer

Jean M. Mayer, of Dieppe, passed away at her residence on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at the age of 106 years. Born in England on December 3, 1903 she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Annie Marie (Bennett) Mayer. Jean retired from Cara Corporation in 1974 after 57 years service. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and a special friend Theresa. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters Olive Hunter, Hilda Corrigan, Edith Bowser, Nellie Pooley and Mabel Trites, also by her brother Jack Mayer. A memorial service will be held at St. Georges Anglican Church on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at 1:00pm with Rev. Chris VanBuskirk officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In Jean's memory, donations made to St. Georges Anglican Church Building Fund or the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
