Obituary of Ralph William O'Brien

Ralph William O'Brien, 70 years, of Moncton passed away at Pavillon Richard, on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Anthony and Barbara (Chase) O'Brien. Ralph was a truck driver for hub meat packers for most of his working career. Ralph enjoyed music and always made sure he maintained his guitar with new strings each year even in the years when he was not able to play. He is survived by common law wife of 23 years Julie Mazerolle of Moncton; daughter, Kelly Maillet (Dustin) of Moncton; son, Glenn O'Brien (Lori Cormier) of Sackville; grandchildren, Marco Savoie and Mason Maillet; step daughter, Mandy Dixon (Ellion) of Moncton; step son, Kirk Mazerolle of Miramichi; step grandchildren, Jade Leaman, Lilli Leaman, Ashley Taylor and Jackson Maillet; former wife, Patricia O'Brien of Moncton; sisters, Carol Forrest(Kevin) or Miramichi and Joanne Scott (Michael) of Moncton; brothers, Alan O'Brien (Jeannette) of Moncton, Kevin O'Brien (Brenda) of Moncton, Stephen O'Brien of Moncton and Mark O'Brien of Ontario. Also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Larry O'Brien and Michael O'Brien and his sister, Lorie Gauvin. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 12:00pm until time of funeral service at 1:30pm which will be held at the Tuttle Brothers Chapel with Father Charlie Broderick officiating. Donations in Ralph's memory made to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
