Obituary of Laura Jean Manship

Laura J. Manship, 102, of Riverview, NB; passed away at Monarch Hall, on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. She was born in Amherst, NS in May 1913 she was the daughter of the late Henry and Rachel (Bremner) Young. Laura retired from the federal government in 1978 after 27 years service with Farm Credit Corp. She is a member of Mount Royal United Church, Moncton, she also served as secretary of the church for over 20 years and Laura was a life member of the Mount Royal UCW. She is survived by her son David (Jean) Manship of Riverview; two grandchildren Barbara (the late Gary) Hayden of Riverview and Scott (Sheri) Manship of Moncton; great grandsons Brian Hayden, Colton Hayden of Riverview; and Zachary Manship of Moncton; niece Catherine Flear of Beeton, ON. Besides her parents she is also predeceased by her sisters Johanna Ballinger, Catherine Fowler, and Marjory Hatfield. The Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, NB on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Beverly Daley officiating. Interment will take place immediately following the funeral at the Amherst Cemetery, Amherst, NS. Donations in Laura's memory made to the Mount Royal United Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by her family.
