Obituary of Penny J. Meahan

Penny J. Meahan, 69, of Riverview and formerly of St. Stephen, NB; passed away surrounded by her friends and family at The Moncton Hospital, on Wednesday, June 8, 2016. Born in St. Stephen, NB she was the daughter of the late Robert C. and Ruth (Elliott) McKinnon. She was retired from Irving Group of Companies. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, Moncton. Penny was a volunteer with the Alzheimer’s Society of South Eastern NB. She is survived by sisters-in-laws Wanda, Jacqueline, Anne and June Allain (Albert); a special niece, Karen Dion (Fernando) of Miramichi, cousin Susan Stark (Jim); As well as nieces and nephews throughout Canada. Penny was blessed with many friends, especially five who she considered her Guardian Angels Stella Gallant, Audrey Gardiner, Lynn Holt, Bertha Estey and the late Judy LeBlanc. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband John W. "Jack" Meahan The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Falkland Drive Moncton, on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00 am with Fr. Phil Mulligan officiating. Interment will be in Saint Peters & Saint Paul Parish Cemetery, Bartibog, NB Donations in Penny's memory made to the Alzheimer's Society of South Eastern NB would be appreciated.
