Obituary of Jeannette "Janet" R. MacKay

Janet MacKay, 73, of Dieppe and formerly of Notre Dame, NB, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, April 16, 2007. Born in Moncton she is the daughter of Alyre Boudreau and the late Ella (Goguen) Boudreau. Janet was active in many parishes in Moncton, Irishtown and Dieppe. She is survived by one son Gary MacKay and his wife Colleen of Kirkland, PQ; one daughter Diana Fall of Moose Jaw, SK; six grandchildren Carrie Ann, Peter, Justin, Ryan, Christopher and Nathan, by several nieces, step sisters, step brothers, aunts and uncles. Besides her mother, she was predeceased by her husband Gordon A. MacKay, a daughter Doris Mae MacKay and her grandmother Evangeline Goguen who was the world to her. The funeral mass will be held at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford St. Moncton on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 10:00 am with Father Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date. Donations in Janet's memory made to Friends of Moncton Hospital Foundation "Renovating the Spirit" would be appreciated.
