Obituary of James Preston Steeves

James P. Steeves, of Anagance, NB passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Saturday, August 4, 2007 at the age of 63 years. Born in Moncton, NB on March 21, 1944 he was the son of the late William Alfred and Dorothy Jean (Preston) Steeves. James was a Captain for The Moncton Fire Department and retired after 30 years service. He is survived by his common law wife Mary Squires; sisters Marilyn (Cyril) Beaman of The Glades, and Noreen Prosser of Hillsborough; also by several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel, 171 Lutz St., Moncton on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at 11:00 am with Rev. Bill Morton officiating. There will be a reception to follow. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. In James's memory, donations made to The Moncton Fire Dept Burn Unit would be appreciated.
