Obituary of J. Doris Eagles

Doris Eagles, 85, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Friday, September 21, 2007. Born in Wheaton Settlement, NB she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Blanche (Hope) Burgess. A homemaker, Doris was formerly employed with the Moncton Post Office. She was a member of Coverdale United Church and a former member of the UCW and the Women's Institute. A loving and generous mother, grandmother, sister and friend, she will be sadly missed by her daughters Phyllis Dodds of Mississauga, On; Bonnie Stevens (Randy) of Truro, NS; Anne Wood of Riverview, Mary McKinnon (Kevin) of Upper Coverdale, Susan (originally of Moncton) and Sandra Quann (Darren) of Fawcett Hill, NB; her son Allison Eagles (Eileen) of Moncton, her adoring twenty-one grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren; one brother Ralph Burgess (Olga) of Salisbury Road; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Russell O. B. Eagles, her daughter Joy Doris Tulk, grandson Stuart Tulk, two brothers Ivan and Allison Burgess. At Doris request there is no viewing at the Funeral Home. A Graveside and Committal Service will be held at Wheaton Settlement Cemetery, Wheaton Settlement, NB. on Monday, September 24, 2007 at 11:00 am with Rev. Daniel Compton officiating. The family will be receiving relatives and friends on Monday, Septemebr 24, 2007 at the Riverview Funeral Home 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview immediately following the service in Wheaton Settlement. Donations made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to a Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by her family.
