Obituary of Jean "Johnny" Adolph Cormier
Jean "Johnny" Adolph Cormier, 87, of The Villa du Repos, Moncton, and formerly of Harold St. Dieppe passed away at Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Wednesday, February 11, 2009. Born in Barachois, NB on November 2, 1921 he was the son of the late Lazare and Claudia (Gaudet) Cormier. Johnny retired in 1987 from NB Wire Fence as a machine operator. He loved horses, dancing, music, working in the garden and carpentry.
A loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 64 years Verna M. (Wilson); his daughters Carol Wilson and Linda Cormier of Moncton; sisters Emma Mills of Moncton, and Dorothy White of Spencer Home; six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, one great-great grand daughter; as well as nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son Donald “Donnie” Cormier sister Florence Brown and brothers Andrew and Raymond.
At Johnny's request there is no visitation at the Funeral Home.
A Graveside Service will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in the spring.
Donations in Johnny's memory made to the Alzheimer's Society or to charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
