Obituary of James Joseph Gallant

Jimmy Gallant, 69, of Moncton, passed away at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Friday, February 27, 2009. Born in Shediac, NB, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Elizabeth Gallant. He was a retired foreman with MacDonald Paving Ltd. James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will be missed by his wife of 51 years Florence Gallant; three daughters Deb Aspeck (Joe) of Ontario, Catherine Gallant and Margaret Gallant both of Moncton; seven grandchildren Tanya, Jimmy, Billy, Melissa, Crystal, Natasha and Samantha; four great grandchildren; one sister Juliette Bourque (Edgar) of Bouctouche; three brothers Jackie of Montreal, Albert of Sudbury and Donald (Irene) of Shediac; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Marie and a brother Arthur. Visitation is at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Lutz St. on Monday, March 2, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 1:30pm with Fr. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery in the spring. Donations in James memory made to the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
