Obituary of Joanne McLean

Joanne McLean passed away with family by her side at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, November 30, 2009 at the age of 53 years. Born in Chelmsford, NB on February 29, 1956 she was the daughter of the late William and Theresa (Walsh) McLean. Joanne was an employee of Tandom Fabrics for 25 years and more recently worked for Asurion Co. until January 2009 when she was no longer able to work. Joanne enjoyed volunteering and helping others, she devoted 25 years of service to the St. Michaels Scout Troop, and was a past vice president of Scouts Canada South Eastern NB division. Left with fond memories is her son Jeffery William McLean; grandson and the joy of her life Devon; friend Preston Coles; brothers James (Rita) of Oromocto, Loran (Jessie) of Quispamsis, Richard (Shirley) of Saint John; sisters Eleanor Blacquier of Miramichi, Paula Gallie (Kenny) of Campbellton, Jeanne Hamilton (Terry) of Bedford; sister in law Linda McLean of Toronto; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Joseph in Feb 2009, brother in law Reginald Blacquier; also by her nephew Robert Blacquier. Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Wednesday December 2, 2009 from 2:00 - 4:00pm & 7:00 - 9:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church on Thursday December 3, 2009 at 11:00 am with Father Yvon Arsenault officiating. In memory of Joanne, donations made to The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Oncology or Palliative Care Units, or to Scouts Canada would be appreciated.
