Obituary of James "Jim" J. Rietzel

James "Jim" Rietzel, 63, of Moncton, NB; passed away at The Moncton Hospital, on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Arnold Sr. and Marie Velma (Jones) Rietzel. Jim worked for many years as a caterer, bartender and taxi driver. He had a fondness for animals and he enjoyed fishing. An avid sportsman, Jim excelled at Dart's and he was a loyal Toronto Maple Leaf and Toronto Blue Jay fan. He was Past President of the Dart League. Jim will be always remembered for his special saying "See You at 5 O'clock". James will be sadly missed by his daughter Tammy Coughlin, two grandchildren Mark R. and Amber R. sisters Marilyn Carson (Allan), Sharon Lewis (Ross), Betty Cormier and Dorothy Bennett; brothers Michael Rietzel (Barb), Brian Rietzel (Jeannette) Ossie DeWolfe, Donald DeWolfe (Leola) and Ray DeWolfe (Lorianne); sisters-in-law Joyce Rietzel and Irene Rietzel; as well as numerous nieces and nephews; Jim will also be missed by his good friends Monique Bedard and Allie Kent. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Arnold Jr. and Charles Rietzel and by his sisters Patsy LeBlanc and Velma Breau. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton on Friday, March 29, 2013, from 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel, 171 Lutz Street on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at 10:30 am with Rev. Cecil Symes officiating. Donations in Jim's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "4600 Wing" would be appreciated by his family. The family would like to thank Dr. Assi, Dr. David Ross, his receptionist Erin Cawley, the medical staff of 4600 Wing of the Moncton Hospital, to Sharon and Ross Lewis and Allie Kent.
