Obituary of James Roper

It is with great sorrow, the family of Jim "Coach" Roper would like to announce his sudden passing in the early hours of Saturday, March, 15, 2014 at his home with his son Mike at his side. Jim or "Coach" as he was affectionately known as by the many youth whose lives he touched, will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family and many friends. Jim was predeceased by his loving wife of 37 years Hilda Josephine "Jo" Rimmer (2004). Survived by his daugter Sheena (Vicki), his son Mike, his son Tony (Maria) and his grand daughter Jessica (Josh) as well as his extended family the Diottes (Andrew, Joanne and their children) as well as "the gang" in Montreal. As per his request their will be no public viewing or funeral service. In Lieu of flowers "Coach" asked all donations be made to the Riverview High School Girls Rugby Program, where he was still applying his passion and skill as a coach to the game that he loved.
