Obituary of Janet Louise MacMillan

It is with extreme sadness the MacMillan family announces the passing of Janet Louise MacMillan at the Moncton Hospital on Monday, January 19, 2015. Janet was born in Ingersoll, Ontario in 1943. Janet and Greg met in the spring of 1951 and were together from that time on. They were married in 1967 and moved to Germany with the Canadian Armed Forces where they were blessed with two beautiful sons. They returned to Canada in 1975 to Oromocto, NB, until Greg retired from Military Life and relocated to Moncton in 1977, where a new career started for both of them. Janet became a bookkeeper for several small Home business'. It was here that Janet grew to love New Brunswick and it was at this time Janet became an avid bird watcher leading her to become a member of the Moncton Naturalist and Nature NB. She loved to go bird watching from morning to night. She also became an avid animal lover through and through. Janet leaves behind, her loving family, aunts, uncles and friends. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband Greg MacMillan, two sons Lee (Sharon) of Riverview and Warren of Moncton and by two wonderful grandchildren Ryan and Brandon. Besides her parents Margarie and Charles; as well as her step-father Norman, she was predeceased by her only brother. At Janet's request, there is no funeral service, however, her family will be receiving relatives and friends at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, on Friday, January 23, 2015 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations in Janet's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care" or to a charity of donor's choice would be appreciated by her family.
