Obituary of Lina Marie Lorette "Lirette"

Lina M. Lorette "Lirette", 99, formerly of Scoudouc and Highlandview Rd., passed away at Villa Du Repos Moncton, on Saturday, May 2, 2015. Born in St. Paul, Kent Co., she was the daughter of the late Pierre and Arzelie (Cormier) Gosselin. She attended St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton. Lina loved music, Acadian, Country-anything that was played on a fiddle, mandolin or accordion, she enjoyed it all. She was a loving, caring and dedicated mother, mémère and friend, she will be sadly missed by her daughters Noella Fougere (Roger), Dora Melanson (James), Rosella Poirier (Edgar) all of Moncton and Rose-Marie Roy of Dieppe; her sons Leonard of Oshawa, ON., Leopold (Antoinette) of Mississauga, ON., Ronald of St-Louis-de-Kent and Gerald (Ann) of Fall River NS; twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Norman Lorette in 1983; by an infant daughter Noella; one son Philias and her twin brother Theodore. Resting at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview with visitation Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm and on Wednesday, May 6, from 12:30 noon until departure to the church at 1:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Church, corner of Dominion and Mountain Rd. Moncton on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 2:00pm with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe at a later date. Donations made to the Villa Du Repos, 125 Murphy Ave. Moncton or to the Canadian Mental Health Association in Lina 's memory would be appreciated by her family. We as a family would like to say thank you to the nurses and staff of the Villa Du Repos, Moncton for their Care and Compassion given to our Mother through the years.
