He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 45 years, Barbara (Roach) along with his children, John (Christina Carlin), Janet (Jamie Ells), Michael (Charlene Newton) and Patrick (Tammy Morton). He enjoyed spending time with his eight grandchildren Nicki & Jocelyn Delahunt; Rease and Cole Delahunt, Kyle & Grace Morton; Jesse &
Jenna Ells. He will also be missed by his sister Nancy Gordon (late Don), brother Stephen (Donna), his sisters-in-law Linda-Lou Carter (late Gary), Dianna Oberg (Doug), as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Jim is survived by a special uncle, John Noonan.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother in law Byron Roach.
Jim graduated from Moncton High School and St. Francis Xavier University. He then went to work for Callaghan Contracting and later became a part owner of the company. He worked for Callaghan's for over 25 years. After Callaghan Contracting, Jim and Peter Meunier opened Delmoon Construction Ltd. together. He always enjoyed the many jobs that he worked on and the people that he met through the years. He enjoyed working and if you asked him if he was retired he would smile and say, "Maybe." Most of Jim's time was spent with his best friend Barb and his family at their cottage built by family and friends in Targetville.
