Obituary of Louise Jean Steeves Lutes)

September 30, 1937 to February 12, 2017 Jean Steeves passed away at the Moncton City Hospital, February 12, 2017. Jean was born in Montreal, Quebec, and lived in many places in the world as a military wife. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6 in Moncton. Jean loved to cook and bake, she was very skilled at it and she would often bake and cook for her family. Jean loved to have her family around and connected with them regularly. Jean will be sadly missed by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Thomas R. Steeves of Riverview; by her children: Thomas E. Steeves (Donna) of Fredericton; Frederick W. Steeves (Beverly) of Turtle Creek; Phyllis H. Smith (Preston) of Riverview; Kimberly A.Taiti (Upumoni) of Moncton; 10 grand children, 18 great grand children; brothers, Lorne Lutes (Karen) of Turtle Creek; Kenneth Lutes (Connie) of Turtle Creek; Peter Elliott of Turtle Creek; William Elliott (Debbie) of Cornwall, ON; and sisters, May Sherwood of Riverview; Barbara Libby (Rollie) of Pembrook, ON; and Lorraine Mills (Robert) of Oshawa, ON; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Jean was predeceased by her Granddaughter, Jan Beverly Trites, her Mother, Lorraine Elliott, her Father, Frederick Lutes Sr. and also by her brothers, Purdy Lutes, Frederick Lutes Jr., and Nelson Lutes. Jean requested to have no funeral. Charitable donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Please no sympathy cards.
