Obituary of Rita Mary Belliveau
Rita Mary Belliveau, 93, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital, on Saturday, July 28, 2018. Born in Cocagne, N.B. on August 13, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Tilmon and Regina (Babineau) LeBlanc.
She is survived by daughters Murielle (John) of Saint John, Jeanne Geldart (Ken) of Riverview and Shirley Waselynchuk (Gerry) of Moncton; son, Edward J. Belliveau (Mary-Lou) of Shediac; brother, Aristide (Carmelle) of Shediac Bridge; sisters, Geraldine Hebert (Late Yvon) of Grande-Digue, Florida Richard (Armand) of Cocagne, Anise Leger (Eddie) of Moncton, Marie Cormier (Gerald) of St. Antoine and Annette Johnson (late Harvey) of Campbellton; her seven grandchildren Eddie, Jason, Kathryn, Peter, Tony, Debbie and Andrew; great grandchildren Spencer, Jacob, Paige and Alexis; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Alban "Chummy" Belliveau (Nov 11, 2008); sisters Lina and Azelie; brothers Henrie, Eric, Gerard and one infant brother Henrie.
The family would like to thank Dr. Jennifer Sinclair, Dr. Daniel Cormier, Dr. Gilles Cormier, Dr. Houfar Sekhavat, Dr. Julien Saad and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Moncton Hospital for their care and compassion.
By request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral mass will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, 5 Fatima Dr. Riverview, NB on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:00am with Father Ulysse LeBlanc officiating and a reception to follow. Interment will be held in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Rita's memory made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
