Obituary of Ida H. Donovan

Ida H. Donovan, 95, of Irishtown passed away at Autumn Lee Retirement Home in Moncton on Friday, January 02, 2009. Born in New Bedford, Ma. USA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Helene Breault and foster daughter of the late Hilaire & Henriette Girouard. Ida was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, the CWL, as well as a member of the St. Augustine's Seniors Group. Ida was a foster parent to 107 children over the years. She was a loving and caring mother, grannie, and sister. She will be sadly missed by three daughters Helen Burt (Wilson) of Lethbridge, Ab; Shirley Chappelle (Murray) of Moncton, and Rose LeBlanc (Thomas) of Maryland USA; two sons Gerry Donovan (Pauline) of Dartmouth and Roger Donovan (Darlene) of Riverview; foster son J.P. Gallant (Heather) of Riverview; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; one sister Marie Mandley of Ma. USA; as well as nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gene J. Donovan, sons George and Leonard, foster daughter Elizabeth Wilson; brothers Andrew, Joseph and Peter Breault; sister Mary LeBlanc; foster brothers Mac, Lewis and Val Girouard and foster sisters Lorraine LeBlanc and Mary Girouard. Visitation will be at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home Lutz Moncton on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 07, 2009 at 11:00 am with Fr. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Interment will be in St. Lawrence O'Toole Roman Catholic Cemetery, Irishtown, NB in the spring.
