Obituary of Oative Ralph Brown

Oative Ralph Brown, age 89 years of Moncton, passed away at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital on Saturday, December 11th, 2010. Born in Gagetown, NB on June 16th, 1921; he was the son of the late Fredric and Lottie May (Little) Brown. Oative worked for many years in the construction industry as a carpenter. Survived by his loving son Richard (Wendy) Brown; grandson Colton (Meaghan) Brown; great granddaughter Taylor Brown all of Richmond, B.C; brother Malcolm (June) Brown of Saint John; sisters Levina Chase of Ontario, Ella Coulson (Gerry) of Australia and Evelyn Ekstrom (Harold) of Saint John. Predeceased by his wife Pauline (Dunphy) Brown in 1996; sisters Alberta, Kathleen, Greta, Anne; and brother Woodrow. Visiting hours will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 15th, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00pm. The funeral service will be held at the Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Thursday, December 16th, 2010 at 10:00am with Jeff Irving officiating. Interment will take place at the Lakeside Cemetery in the spring. In memory of Oative, donations made to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
