Obituary of Mary Helen Mitton
It is with Great sadness that we announce the passing of our Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Special Friend, Mary Helen Mitton (nee Richard) on October 28, 2011. Born on March 25, 1927 to the late Albert and Barbara (Gould) Richard of Lakeburn. Wife of the late Allison John Mitton, (Prosser Brook).
Mary was loved by all who knew her. She worked at Woolworth's and Woolco for many years and was a friend to all. She was never judgmental and always willing to help anyone in need, she always had a smile or a sympathetic ear. Mary loved to travel and always had a good time whether it was on a day trip, weekend away or off on the plane to visit her grandchildren. She got to see alot of the world and meet new people and made friends no matter where she went.
Remembered by sons Richard (Ann) of Salisbury and Danny of Moncton; daughter Linda (Roy) Lane of Moncton who she reside with for the past 12 years; grandchildren Leeann Chombly, Vonda Kerstin, Lesley Chowin, Ghislaine Mitton, Donny-Wayne Hicks and Allison Hicks; step-grandchildren Laura Plourde and Leeann Gallop; great grandchildren Chanel, Keaton, Jayden, Caitlyn, Larvona, Liam, Breanna and Danika. Special friends Simone and Bob Bourque; Hedy (Ron) Caissie and Myrna (Royden) Sealy, Bob and Linda, John and Colleen and special caregiver Linda Gallant. Mary is the last surviving member of her immediate Family
Besides her parents ,she is predeceased by her husband in 1976, her brothers Gerald in 1953, Magloire (Mac) in 1985; her sister Bernice in 1941 and her grandson Shane Scott in 1975.
Resting at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, 171 Lutz St. Moncton with visitation on Sunday, October 30, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm.
Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday October 31, 2011 at 1:30 pm with Pastor Jim Eagles officiating.
Interment will be at Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
Donations in Mary's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation "Oncology Dept." would be appreciated by her family.
