Obituary of Paul Henri Lavoie
LAVOIE, Paul Henri – 65 of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully Saturday December 15th, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Campbellton, NB he was the son of the late Rodolphe and Jeannette (Ahier) Lavoie. Paul volunteered with various local organizations including the Kiwanis Club of Moncton where he was elected a Mel Osbourne Fellow in 2004. He loved movies and sports of all kinds, especially hockey (Go Habs!). He was actively involved with Les Amis(e) des Aigles Bleu and hated to miss even a single game. As a lifelong member of the Liberal Party of Canada he could often be heard strongly encouraging people to vote. Paul loved his family dearly, especially his grandchildren, Isabella, Georgia, Jacob, and Maya. He is survived by his loving wife Lise; daughter Stephanie (Kevin) Lavoie, of Dartmouth; son Chris (Liela) Lavoie, of Moncton; sisters Claire (Daniel) McLauchlan, of Shediac; Louise (Fred) Veniot, of Moncton; brothers Marc (Rachelle) Lavoie, of Dartmouth; and Gilles (Brenda) Lavoie, of Moncton. Cremation has taken place. A special thank you is extended to Dr. Pam Mansfield, Dr. Chantal Trudeau, Dr. Greg Donald and all the nursing staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Moncton Hospital for the care, compassion and kindness shown to Paul and his family during his stay.
