Obituary of Pauline H. Foster

The death of Pauline Helen Foster (formerly of Saint John, NB) occurred on May 24th at the Moncton Hospital. Pauline was born in Albert County on 1 January 1933. She was the daughter of the late Freeman and Clara (Cleveland) Dixon. After her retirement from Consumer and Corporate Affairs Pauline enjoyed many years of camping around New Brunswick, hiking at Fundy Park, bowling and several bus trips. She loved to pick berries of any sort and she could not resist a game of cards, especially her favorite - 200s. Her positive spirit could not be extinguished even when stroke took most of her speech and mobility IT DID NOT take her ability to cherish her family and her life. Her ever present quick smile and always possible "oh dear" will be deeply missed. Surviving are Michael (Sylvia) Hersey, Beth (Jerry) Kirkpatrick and Lori Hersey, step children Betty (Buck) Smith, James (Margaret) Foster Jr., Gary (Louella) Foster, Brian (Wanda) Foster, Ruth Kenny and John (Heather) Foster. Pauline will also be missed by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Pauline was predeceased by her first husband Ronald Frank Hersey, her second husband James Talbert Foster, her son Paul Andrew Hersey, brothers Trueman and Elmer and sisters Leona and Donna. Family and friends are invited to meet in Saint John at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 2:30 pm, for a graveside service. Following the interment, a reception will take place at 3:00pm at the Castle "Fallsview" Family Reception Center, 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Pauline would be appreciated by her family.
