Obituary of John R. Ahearn

John (Russell) Ahearn, 90 years, passed away at the Drew Nursing Home on Monday, May 18, 2015. John was born in Borden PEI. He was a Veteran of WWII and served overseas with the Canadian Army, Carleton York Regiment from 1943-1946 and with the Canadian Army Special Forces 1950-1952. He was employed with the Moncton Court and School District #15. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch in Sackville, and a former member of the Irish Canadian Cultural Assoc. He will be missed by his daughter Mitzi (Melvyn) Dodd of Burlington, ON; son James (Cathy) of Borden PE; sisters Eileen Ross, Helen Lowther, Ada Kilbride, his grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Annie Deegan. Thank you to the staff (and Debbie) at The "Drew" in Sackville for their exceptional care. At his request there will be no services held.
