Obituary of Theresa Mary McBeath

Theresa Mary McBeath, of Monteagle, NB; and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the home of her daughter Jackie Gillis three days prior to her 101 birthday. Born in Caraquet on October 11, 1914; she was the daughter of Luc and Lauza (Theriault) Doiron. Theresa was a mother and homemaker to ten children, and when most attended King George School, Theresa was an active member of the Home and School Association. She later contributed much time to the St. John's United Church Women (UCW), and was Treasurer of the Pearl Rebekah Lodge starting in 1979, until age caught up to her ability to remain active in recent years. She is survived by nine children: Ned (Helen), Dick (Simone), Nancy (Dave) Dixon, Jackie (Chuck) Gillis, Sandra (Larry) Saunders, Brenda, Susan and Ken all of greater Moncton area, and Dave of Esquimault, BC., twenty grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Also by her sister Geraldine Martin of St. Jerome, Que., and a brother Narcisse Doiron, Petit Rocher, NB., as well nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Ned in 1985, daughter Jane (Peter) Chisholm (1999) and siblings Rosa, Wilfred, Luc, Martina and Raymond. The funeral service will be held at St. John's United Church, corner of Victoria and Alma Streets, Moncton, on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Interment will be in the McBeath Lot at Elmwood Cemetery, Moncton, NB Donations in Theresa's memory made to St. John's United Church Memorial Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
