Obituary of Harold P. MacDonald

Harold P. MacDonald, of Lower Coverdale,NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday February 15, 2006 at the age of 89 years. Born in Moncton, NB on July 8, 1916 he was the son of the late George A. and Hazel (Noddin) MacDonald. He was retired from the T. Eaton Co. with over 30 years in shipping and receiving. He was a veteran of WWII, A member of the Lower Coverdale Baptist Church, a former trustee on the church board, a member of the Lower Coverdale Cemetery Board, a member of The Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association, as well as The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6. He is survived by wife Isabella (Spottiswoode); sons John Malcolm (Elizabeth) MacDonald of Mississauga ON, and David George (Janice) MacDonald of Huntville ON; brother William (Margaret) MacDonald of Florida; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by an infant son Warren. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Friday February 17, 2006 from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 will be holding a veterans service at the funeral home friday evening at 6:45pm. The funeral service will be held at The Lower Coverdale Baptist Church on Saturday February 18, 2006 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Interment will be in Wilmot Cemetery, Lower Coverdale, NB. In Harold's memory, donations made to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by his family.
