Obituary of Helen Mary MacLeod

Helen M. MacLeod, of Moncton, NB passed away at The Moncton Hospital as result of a motor vehicle accident on Thursday, October 12, 2006 at the age of 74 years. Born in New Waterford, NS, on October 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Simeion and Nora (Cathecart) LaRade. She was a member of St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church. Helen will be best remembered for her kind and caring ways that she has shown to others. A loving wife, mother, grand mother, sister and friend to many, she will be sadly missed by her husband Robert "Bob" C. MacLeod; two sons Thayne MacLeod (Susan) of Hartland, NB and Ian MacLeod at home; two grandchildren Scott and Sean MacLeod of Hartland, NB; four brothers, Joseph (Georgie) LaRade, New Waterford, Clare (Sharon) LaRade of Sydney, NS, Greg LaRade of Truro, and Bob (Anne) LaRade of Comox, BC. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister in law Ella LaRade. The funeral mass will be held at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, October 16, 2006 at 1:00 pm with Fr. Allison Carroll officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery in Sydney Mines, NS. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Dr. Georges L.
