Obituary of Hermine MacEachern

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Hermine MacEachern (nee VanVolsen), our mother and sister , on January 13, 2007 at her home, Lakeview Manor, Riverview, NB just one week shy of her 78th birthday. She was born in Inverness NS in 1929. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Hermine Martha VanVolsen (Monnon) and the former wife of Archie Dan MacEachern of Inverness, NS. She was a member of The Stella Maris Parish also in Inverness, NS. With her most cherished memories and her family by her side, her journey to a place without pain and suffering was guided by her favorite hymns and prayers. She will be sadly missed by her children, Joanie Chisholm (Martin) , Fort McMurray AB, Anne Ayles (Walter), Riverview, NB, Frank MacEachern (Linda), New Jersey, USA, Ricky MacEachern (Florence), Fort McMurray AB, Marion Lutes (Barry), Riverview, NB, AD MacEachern (Stacey), Sussex, NB, Gina MacEachern (Jim), Fort McMurray, AB, Brenda MacEachern (Craig), Hillsborough, NB, Elaine Pettipas (Mark), Antigonish, NS, Wesley MacEachern (Connie), Riverview, NB, Dennis MacEachern, Riverivew, NB; twenty five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two sisters Alice LeMaire and Martha Macmillian. Besides her parents she was predeceased by two infant children Georgina and Alexander; brothers Marcel, Henry, Ferdinand, Arthur and Joe VanVolsen; sisters Simone MacIsaac and Rose Watson. Hermine's true passion in life was her unlimited devotion to her family. Her family returned her love and provided her with countless precious memories. Those who knew her will remember her many talents... Top notch seamstress, quilter, cook and carpenter/electrician (if needed). Her many hobbies included cross stitching, knitting, crochet, crossword puzzles, card playing, the "soaps", bingo and music. At her request cremation has taken place. A mass will be held at the Stella Maris Parish in Inverness, NS on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 11:00 am, followed by a celebration of life at the Inverness Fire Hall. Interment will be in St. Matthews United Church Cemetery, Strathlorne, NS with her parents. In lieu of flowers, donations made to The Canadian Lung Association or to The Lakeview Manor, Riverview, NB would be appreciated by her family.
