Obituary of Harry L Patriquin

Harry Patriquin, 95, of Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 6th, 2014. Born in Springhill, NS, he was the son of the late Stanley and Ellen (Miller) Patriquin. Harry worked as a heavy equipment operator and farmer/lumberman. Harry is survived by his two daughters Ellen Simpson (Richard) of Vernon, B.C. and Elaine Lis (Mel) of Vernon, B.C; his four sons John (Kay) of Millet, AB, Larry (Crystal) of Leduc, AB, Bud of Leduc, AB, and Roger of Leduc, AB; his 13 grandchildren; Kim Davis, John Simpson, Gina Simpson, Nancy Plaw, Lorna Lis, Janet Hackman, Denise Patriquin, Dale Patriquin, Matthew Patriquin, David Patriquin, Michael Patriquin, Jessica Patriquin, Darren Patriquin and his 15 great grandchildren. Besides his parents, Harry is predeceased by his wife Jennie McGeorge Bonnyman of West New Annan, N.S., (September 8th, 1998); his two sisters Mabel Russell and Jennie Mellish; and his three brothers Herman, James and Dan. Harry’s immediate family wish to thank the staff at the Kenneth E. Spencer Nursing Home and, as well, special thanks to Kay Patriquin (daughter-in-law) and Marion Reid (his niece) for all their care and attention. A memorial service will take place on Thursday, August 21st, 2 P.M. at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at the Jonah Cemetery, Dawson Settlement, NB. Donations, in lieu of flowers, in Harry’s memory made to the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home in Moncton, N.B. or to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
