Obituary of Margaret Birnie

Margaret (Peggy) Birnie - 93, Edmunston, NB, passed away in Sackville, NB on Monday, February 19, 2007. Born in Durham, England in 1913, she came to Canada in 1927. She was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Pearson and the sister of William, Christopher, Elizabeth, Robert, Lillian, James and Dorothy. Peggy was predeceased by her husband George and just two days prior to her the passing of her daughter Jean Elizabeth Sacre. She was an avid golfer and curler in Edmunston for many years and proud of her service with the Legion as a member and Past President. Grammie will be sadly missed and always in the hearts for many years of son-in-law Bob Sacre, and grandchildren Bill (Barb), Brenda Barazza (Dennis), Steven (Cathy), David (Hettie). Great grandchildren Bobby, Nick, Daniel, Chelsea, Stephanie, Sydney, Jessica and Ryan. Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will be held in Dartmouth, NS; A graveside committal service will be held in Edmunston, NB later in the spring.
