Obituary of Reginald “Reg” V. Spencer

Reg Spencer, 87 of Magog, PQ and formerly of Moncton, passed away following a lengthy illness in Magog, PQ on October 29, 2007. He was the son of the late William V. and Hallie (Smith) Spencer. He was employed and retired from Public Works Canada. Reg was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved his rose garden which he spent many hours at. He was a veteran of WW II serving as Flight Lieutenant with the Royal Canadian Air Force , Bomber Command. He was also a member of The Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife of 65 years the former Gladys (Baird), daughter Cheryl Oke (Kevin) of BC; two sons Ross (Dorrie) of Georgeville, PQ and Robert of Toronto; sister Merilyn Hawley (John) of Riverview; sister-in-law Midge Spencer of Salisbury; three grand daughters; three great grand daughters; one great grandson; several nieces and nephews. At Reg’s request there is no visitation or service, cremation has taken place. Interment will be in Magog, PQ. Donations in Reg’s memory made to the Parkinson’s Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
