Obituary of Margaret Violet Belyea

Margaret V. Belyea, formerly of Moncton, passed away at Lakeview Manor in Riverview on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the age of 102 years. She was the last surviving daughter of Frederick W. and Alice E. (Milton) Belyea. A graduate of Acadia University in 1927, Margaret was made a life member to the Acadia University Alumni in 1954. She was a retired supervisor of the general office at the T. Eaton Co. She was a member of First Moncton Baptist Church and a member of the Gulliston Missionary Group of First Baptist, she was a member University Women's Club, renown for her leather craft work, she was a member of The Moncton Hand Craft Guild, she was also a member of the Moncton Lions Senior Citizens and the Moncton Council of Women. Margaret was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be missed by her twelve nieces and nephews as well as numerous grand nieces and grand nephews in Canada and the United States. Besides her parents she was predeceased by six sisters, infant Gertrude Belyea, Marion Paul, Florence Rogers, Dorothy MacDonald, Irene Horton and Ruth MacIvor. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 12:30 pm. Interment will be in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche, NS immediately following the funeral service. Memorials in Margaret's memory, pledged towards a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, (506) 857-8564.
