Obituary of Marguerite Stratton

Marguerite Stratton, 97, a long time resident of Peoples Park Tower in Moncton, passed away at Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, November 11, 2008. Born in Middle Coverdale, Albert Co. NB; she was the daughter of the late William T. and Mary L. (Mitton) Wilson. Marguerite was employed with Dr. Pugh for several years prior to her retirement. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Queen St. Moncton for sixty-one years. A loving and caring mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed by her daughter Gayle (John) MacKeil of Dartmouth; her sons William (Bill) Stratton of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, John (Shirley) Stratton of Riverview N.B.; grandchildren Lynn MacKeil, Dartmouth; Janet (Alex) Walker, North Vancouver; Jeffrey MacKeil, Edmonton; Scott (Catherine) MacKeil, Richmond Hill, On; Samantha (Andrew) Stewart, Moncton; Allison Stratton (Maurice McGraw) Moncton; Kathryn Stratton, Riverview; great grandchildren Keil, Cameron and Leah Walker, North Vancouver; Mallory and Jared MacLeod, Dartmouth; Sarah MacKeil Richmond Hill; Nathan and Cameron Stewart; as well as several nieces and nephews. Marguerite was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Besides her parents she was predeceased her husband Walter Stratton; sisters Della, Helen, Juanita, Zelda and Dorothy; as well as her brother Logan. At her request there is no visitation at the Funeral Home A memorial service will be held at First Baptist Church, Queen St. Moncton on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Richard Jackson officiating. Interment was held at Wesleyan Union Cemetery, Upper Coverdale, NB. Donations in Marguerite' s memory made to charity of the donor's choice would appreciated.
