Obituary of Norman J.G. Haley

Norman J.G. Haley, 92 years of Moncton passed away at Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on Thursday, June 30, 2011. Born in Moncton on April 16, 1919 he was the son of the late Ernest and Lucy (Gauvin) Haley. Norman retired from the CNR Express. He attended St. Augustines Roman Catholic church. He was a member of the Monctons Lions Senior Citizens Assoc, The Dieppe Golden Age Club, The CNR War Vets and a member of the Moncton Legion Branch #6 with over 45 years service. He was a veteran of WWII serving overseas with the North Shore Regiment, and the Royal Canadian Army in Continental Europe. He is survived by his sister Loretta Gourley of Moncton; brothers George and Edward of Moncton; also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Gertrude Blackier; brothers Albert and Martin; sisters Doris, Alice, and Alma. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday July 3, 2011 from 3:00pm -5:00pm and 7:00-9:00pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch #6 will be holding a legion service on Sunday afternoon at 4:45pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Augustines Roman Catholic Church on Monday July 4, 2011 at 10:00am with Fr. Yvon Arsenault officiating. Donations in Norman's memory made to the Salvation Army or to the memorial of the donors choice would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Tuttle Bros.
