Obituary of Marie Virginia Green RN

Marie V. Green, of Moncton and formerly of Riverview, passed away peacefully following a brief illness at Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. She was born in Fort Fairfield, Me., and was the only child of Harold and Daisy Keith. Marie was a graduate of the Moncton Hospital School of Nursing in 1948, and had worked in Moncton, Montreal and St. John's NF. Marie was Past Regent of Sir Charles G.D. Roberts Chapter of the IODE and she was a member of the Moncton Hospital School of Nursing Alumnae. She will be fondly remembered by her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Lori (Robert) Goguen; three sons Richard Green of Moncton, Robert Green of Saskatchewan and David (Vickie) Green of Riverview; grandchildren Sarah, Michelle, Danielle, Charlotte, Devon and Jordan; great grandchildren Miya and Scout and Blake, also by her sister-in-law Janet MacAleese of Moncton, as well as nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband J. Robert "Bob" Green in 2009. A Memorial service will be held at Tuttle Brothers & Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview, on Friday, July 4, 2014 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Dr. Jim MacDonald officiating. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens Donations in Marie's memory made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital Foundation or to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
