Obituary of Peggy R. Hanson
Peggy R. Hanson, 99, of Moncton, passed away at the Moncton Hospital, July 24, 2018. Born in Woodstock, NB she was the daughter of the late Merton and Edith (Niles) Hanson, Peggy was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Peggy attended St. George's Anglican Church in Moncton, NB.
She leaves behind one niece Debra Aboui of Mississauga ON; two nephews Calvin Hanson of Cornwall ON and James Wilson of Gondolia Point, NB; as well as several great nephews and great nieces.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by a sister Florence Wilson, a brother Merton Hanson, a half-brother Lloyd G. Brown and two nieces Barbara Steeves and Wendy Richard.
Honouring Peggy's wishes, cremation has taken place.
Funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers Riverview Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, July 30th, 2018 at 1:30pm with The Rev. Deacon Norm Dupuis.
Interment will be in Old Methodist Cemetery in Woodstock NB at a later date.
Donations in Peggy's memory made to the St. George's Anglican Church Memorial Fund, the Old Methodist Cemetery Fund in Woodstock, NB or to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at K.E. Spencer Home, LeFurgey Special Care Home and the Moncton Hospital "Palliative Care". Also thank you to Dr. Manon Belliveau and Dr. Jamie Stewart for the compassion and care given to Peggy over the years. Special thanks to Peggy's friends Elizabeth, Sue and Val your loyalty and friendship meant so much to Peggy.
