Obituary of Gordon D. Steeves

Gordon D. Steeves, 88, of Riverview, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, February 12, 2006. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Gordon W. and Lena (O'Blenes) Steeves. Gordon was a Locomotive Engineer retiring with 37 years service with the CNR. He was a member of the CN Pensioners Association and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and was a member of Coverdale Lodge #52 F. & AM. He attended the Riverview United Baptist Church. He is survived by one sister, Eva Storey of Scarborough, Me. two half-sisters, Marjorie MacDonald of Winndom, Me, and Frances Deady of New Hamsphire, two half- brothers, Russell of Maine and Ernest Leon Steeves of Arizona and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Mabel (Milton) Steeves in 1988 and by three sons Donald, Robert and Gary Steeves At Gordon's request is no visitation or funeral service. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Gordon's memory made to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
