Obituary of George Ashton Matthews

George Ashton Matthews, age 68 years of Riverview; passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, October 5, 2008. Born in Moncton on October 10th, 1939 he is the son of Kathleen (Ashton) Matthews and the late Lawrence Matthews. George was a member of the Riverview congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and was a self employed mechanical designer. He is survived by his wife Donna Matthews; daughter Tamara Matthews of Clyde, North Carolina; son Scott Matthews and his wife Monica of Riverview; sister Joyce Noel and her husband Adrien of Riverview; brother David Matthews and his wife Beverley of Sarnia, ON; grandchildren William and Chloe Matthews; as well as three nieces; one grandniece and three grandnephews . By personal request there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Memorial Service will be held at the Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road on Friday, October 10, 2008 at 2:00pm.
