Obituary of Gerald J. LeBlanc
Jerry was born in Moncton on January 18th, 1940, and died at his residence just a few days after his 71st birthday. He was the youngest of six children - Aline, Minette, Theresa, Leo and Dorice. His mother Lena and step-father Fred Leger moved the family to Toronto. They lived on Roncesvalles Ave. The home was made of love, laughter, good natured teasing and practical jokes; his mom the main focus but she held her own! Jerry and Denise (Prendergast) were married in 1966, in Toronto and two years later moved to St. Boniface, Winnipeg. In 1974 Jon-Paul Laurie arrived and a year later Marc Jeremy. A family home was purchased in the Meadowood area of St. Vital in 1976; where it still remains the family home. Jerry was a free spirit and long distance driving was his choice of livelihood. He drove most notably for Dominion Tanners/Bison Transport until the early 80's. It was at that time Jerry suffered an injury which prevented him from trucking. He never rebounded physically or emotionally from that loss. In 1988 with profound sadness his marriage ended, and in 2005 he returned back to Moncton. Above all else Jerry loved his sons and their mother and we loved him. We miss him always and kept him in our hearts with love where he will remain. We are thankful he has found peace. God grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change. Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. To contact the family please email deniseaelias yahoo.ca. Our sincere appreciation is extended to the Moncton RCMP, Coroner Dave Farrow, Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home, Winnipeg Health Sciences Center and Constable Bourque of the Winnipeg Police Service. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Tuttle Brothers Funeral Home (171 Lutz St, Moncton NB) 857-8564. Online condolences may be made via www.tuttlefuneralhome.ca Service Information
