Obituary of Glenn Thomas Pinsent

Glenn Thomas Pinsent, of Steeves Settlement passed away peacefully at his residence with family by his side, on Tuesday, January 6, 2015, at the age of 63 years. Born in Buchans, NL he was the son of the late Adolphus and Amanda (Thorne) Pinsent. Glenn was an Electrician with Atlantic Foundation Group with many years prior service at Westinghouse Moncton. He was a member of the Birding NB Foundation and had such passion for nature, he surpassed the average persons knowledge and in so many different fields of nature, moth, dragonfly, butterfly, spider, it didn't matter, if it was in nature Glenn had to learn about it. Infact, Glenn was known as the Moth Man. He was a member of the NB Equestrian Federation. He enjoyed oil painting, photography, carving, gardening and above all the time he spent with family and friends. Glenn will be remembered by many for being every bit a gentleman. Survived by his loving wife Dot McDermott Pinsent; children Nicole and Dean May and their son Liam of Dieppe, NB, Patricia and Todd Killam and their children Tanner and Sydney of Boundry Creek, NB, Jacqueline Taylor and her children Joseph and Olivia of New Zealand, Adam Smith of New Zealand, Amy and Antoine Berthaut and their daughters Amandine and Matilda of Segney, France, Liz Farr of Segney, France; sisters Sandra and Bill Bradley of St. John's, NL, Judy (late Art) Bragg of Halifax, NS, Hilda and Casey Buckles of Portugal Cove, NL; brothers Walter and Norma Pinsent of East Port, NL, Adolphus Jr. and Gloria Pinsent of Badger Lake, NL, and Gary and Barbara Ann Pinsent of Paradise, NL; also by several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. A celebration of life will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. Riverview on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at 4:00 pm with Mr. Thomas Nisbett officiating.
