Obituary of Georges Babineau

Georges Babineau, 57 , of Moncton, NB passed away peacefully at Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital, on Sunday, March 15, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Alcide and Therese (nee Boucher) Babineau. He was employed with Sysco for forty years, he also enjoyed weekly cribbage tournaments as well as riding his motorcycle. He had coffee with his friends every morning for years. Survived by his two children, Denise and Marc Babineau both of Moncton; two sisters Jeannine Babineau (JP Francis) Harcourt, Linda Babineau (Gilles Roy) Notre Dame; five brothers, Clarence (Lorraine), Paul, Gilles, Maurice Babineau all of Moncton, Daniel "Danny" (Martha) of Notre Dame, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and he is also survived by the mother of his children Marie Therese Cormier of Moncton. Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm & 7:00pm until 9:00pm. The Funeral mass will be held at Cathedrale N-D L'Assomption, 226 St. George St., Moncton, on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00am with Father Jean-Guy Dallaire officiating. Interment will be in Notre Dame Union Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Georges' memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Tree of Hope Found would be appreciated by the family. The family would like to thank the staff, doctors and supporters at the George Dumont hospital for their support during this difficult time.
