Obituary of Greta Bell

Greta Bell, passed away at the Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home, on Monday, January 11, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Born in Lower Turtle Creek she was the daughter of the late Leander and Blanche (Douthwright) Tingley. She was a member of the Lower Coverdale United Baptist Church and a member of the United Baptist Womens Missionary Society. Greta worked for the T. Eaton Co. for many years. She will be remembered by many for the endless amount of hours spent tending to her vegetable and flower garden, her interest in crafts and cake decorating and her dedication to living a healthy active life style. She is survived by her brother Everett Tingley (Brenda) of Turtle Creek. Also by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband William Bell in 1991; sisters Marjorie Power, Theresa Ricker, Marion Cole, Verna Crossman, Iva Meldrum, Myrtle Steeves and Helen Steeves; brothers Frank Tingley, James Tingley and Guy Tingley. A funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 11:00am with Rev. Kenneth Rains officiating. There will be a reception immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Wilmot Memorial Cemetery in the spring. Donations in Greta's memory made to the Lower Coverdale Baptist, Road to River fund would be appreciated by the family.
