Obituary of Geneva "Gene" Murphy

Geneva "Gene" Murphy passed away with her family by her side at K. E. Spencer Memorial Home on Wednesday, August 01, 2018. Born in New Harbour, NS a daughter of the late Arthur and Beulah (Sangster) Webber. Gene was the last surviving member of her immediate family, she was employed as a florist with Rae Fraser Ltd. for over forty years until her retirement, a member of St. George's Anglican Church and a member of the Beaver Curling Club. Survived by her two sons: Paul (Diane) and Patrick Murphy both of Moncton; four grandsons: Patrick, Jeffrey, Richard and James; one great granddaughter Aly and special niece Gwen (Mike) Trask of Yarmouth, NS. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Richard in 1991; sisters: Catherine, Grace and Ola; brother, Sydney. In honour of Gene's wishes there will not be any visitation or funeral service, a private family graveside service will be held in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
