Obituary of J. Frank Young
J. Frank Young, formerly of Riverview, NB passed away Thursday, October 15,2015 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Saint John, NB. Born in Chatham, NB he was the son of the late John and Mary [Fitzpatrick] Young. After beginning in Pharmacy, he changed careers to work as a Sales Representative for H.J.Heinz Co. of Canada where he continued until his retirement. Frank was a life member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a dedicated volunteer for Minor Hockey in Chatham.
Frank's favorite summer activity was spending vacation time at a cottage with his family.
He is survived by his son Peter and his children Aidan and Robin; daughter Carolyn [David] Seely and their children Troy [Christina] Seely, Shannon [Jeff] Rydwansky and Trent Seely; son in law Mark Sheehan and his children Ashley [Chris Gallant] and Jason Sheehan, as well as 4 great grandchildren.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Raymond and Leo; his beloved wife of 63 years Rena [Wallace] Young in 2013; daughter Geraldine "Gerrie"
Sheehan in 2009 and daughter in law Lindsay Young in 2011.
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and Riverview Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Rd. on Monday, October 19,2015 at 11:00am with Father Charles Broderick officiating. Visitation is from 10:00am until time of service, with a reception following the service.
Interment will be in St. Michael's Basilica Parish Cemetery, Miramichi, NB.
Donations in Frank's memory made to the St. Joseph's Hospital Foundation or to the memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
