Obituary of Fred Androschuk

Fred Androschuk, age 76 years, of Moncton passed away at his residence on Friday, June 18th, 2010. Born near Belka, Ukraine on January 7th, 1934; he was the son of the late Karl and Helena (Mystruck) Androschuk. Fred immigrated to Canada with his parents and two sisters in 1939. They settled on a farm approx 100kms west of Edmonton, and this is where Fred grew up. Fred was employed as a Weather Technician (Upper Air Services) with the Canadian Government. He spent most of his years working in the Maritimes, on Sable Island NS for 10 years, Shelburne NS for 15 years, Stephenville NFLD for 10 years as well temporary assignments in the far north. He retired in 1995 after 39 plus years of service. Fred will be greatly missed by his wife Eleanor (Jones) Androschuk of Moncton; sister Mary Allard (Roger) of Calgary, Alberta; Bill (Wandy) Androschuk of Tomahawk, Alberta; Eli (Kathi) Androschuk of Sarnia, Ontario; several nieces and nephews, also by a great nephew and two great nieces. Predeceased by his infant brother Alexander (in Ukraine) and sister Antonia. Funeral service will be held from Tuttle Brothers Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 21st, 2010 at 2:00pm with Rev. Aaron Billard officiating. Interment to take place in the Horen Cemetery near Tomahawk, Alberta. In memory of Fred, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to Salvation Army Foundation would be appreciated by his family.
